Gold

Since immemorial time gold has been one of the most valuable natural resources in the world. An essential characteristic of gold is its insensitivity to external influences. Gold is scratch and acid resistant, does not corrode or tarnish and retains its colour. The conventional alloying of gold with other materials such as titanium, palladium or platinum results in a firmer material consistency and thus the desired longevity. For you to always enjoy wearing our gold pieces we only use 750 /18 carat yellow gold. This enables you to wear them carefree in everyday life.

Diamond

Diamond is the hardest material in the world. According to the Mohs hardness-scale, diamonds have a hardness of 10 out of 10. A particularly characteristic and by far the most common cut form for diamons is the brillant cut. The diamonds used for our gold pieces are also cut as brillant-cut diamonds. Since diamond mining does not always take place under ethical working conditions we pay particular attention to the origin of our diamonds. To ensure this we only work with certified diamond suppliers. Our suppliers are all certified members of the globally recognized "Responsible Jewelery Council". Enabling you to wear our diamond jewellery with joy and an absolutely clear conscience.

Akoya cultured pearl

In contrast to diamonds and other gemstones, pearls are a natural product that can only be created with help of a living being. Even if there are still natural pearls to be dived for, the majority of pearls nowadays come from a culture. However both types of pearls are natural products that do not differ from one another in terms of their biological properties. The Akoya oyster is the smalles oyster that produces a pearl. Therefore, the pearls only reach an average size of two to nine millimeters. The Akoya pearl is a saltwater pearl that occurs mainly in the colours white rose and cream. Since each pearl is a natural product, the colour and size can vary and thus may differ slightly from the product photos. For you to enjoy wearing your Akoya pearl for a long time we recommend to avoid direct contact with soap, acids, sweat or other irritating/ corrosive materials.

Care of your gold pieces

Although our gold pieces are made from very robust materials, they are filigree pieces that must be treated as such. The following applies: bumping, getting stuck, knocks, and external pressure on the stones, pearls and gold pieces are to be avoided. Regular care of diamond jewellery helps to preserve the beauty of the diamonds. the brilliance and fire can fully develop if the stone is also clean on the outside. The best way is to avoid the contact with skin creams, perfume, cosmetics, hirspray etc. For cleaning you may put your gold pieces in lukewarm water for about 15 minutes. If necessary, you may also add some soap (e.g. washing-up liquid will do). Then clean your gold pieces with a very soft brush (e.g. soft teethbrush) and dry them with a soft cloth. Above does not apply for gold pieces with pearls.
If your gold pieces are heavily soiled or need to be polished up, for example to bequeath them, you can usually have them cleaned and polished by a goldsmith.
